2024 Season Review

Congratulations to Ilminster winning 29 – 21 away to Chardstock on 5th August, this result concludes the league season and enabled them to retain their title.

The Tri Cup eventually was held on Friday evening 16th August, having been postponed due to a poor weather forecast on the preceding Tuesday. It proved a fortunate choice as we were blessed with a mild and dry evening. The contest was extremely close with only four points separating the three teams, Merriott 24, Chardstock 27 and winners Ilminster with 28, thereby completing a successful cup and league double for the second year in succession.

A big thank you to all participants who brought along a wide variety of edibles for consumption after the activities. All parties reaffirmed their committment to the competition, expressing the hope that it may be expanded next season.
